Root-Knot Nematode

• Heavily infested plants may show wilting and/or yellowing of the foliage
• All root parts maybe affected and induced to form galls
• Galls harboring one to several nematodes
Epidemiology:
• Affect a wide range of hosts
• Sandy to sandy loam soils
• Low to moderate soil moisture levels
• Warm temperatures
• Spread by everything that can move soil and by irrigation water
Control:
• Because of wide host range rotation is less effective
• Application of nematicides
