Fusarium Yellows
(click image to enlarge) Symptoms:
• Stunting
• Vascular elements show grayish brown or reddish brown discoloration
• May develop to a rot of vascular areas
• External root symptoms are absent, except in the case of Fusarium root rot
Epidemiology:
• Very little symptoms are evident below 68° F
• Optimal for development above 75-82° F
• Favored by the presence of other pathogens or cyst nematodes
Control:
• Tolerant varieties
• At least 4-5 years crop rotation without dry beans or weeds
